Cooling Maintenance
Good preventative maintenance on your cooling system helps keep it running efficiently
all year long and minimizes the potential for emergency breakdowns. Planned maintenance
on equipment also helps extend its life by identifying problems before they become
serious issues. When considering the costs of new equipment and repair fees, preventative
maintenance just makes good sense.
Our trained technicians follow an intensive 60-point checklist when servicing your
cooling system and include:
- Thermostat inspection – to ensure proper setup and operation
- Drain line inspection – including thorough flushing and cleaning if needed
- Motor and blower inspection – to ensure proper operation
- Filter check and change
Condensing unit checks include:
- Examination of all tubing and connections for oil traces and refrigerant leaks
- Inspection of all electrical wiring
- Compressor operational testing
- Examination of condenser fan motor bearings for wear and lubrication
- Cleaning of condenser coil and removal of foreign debris
Operations checks include:
- Checking for proper amperage readings
- Checking and recording the operational readings of the system
Post service checks include:
- System cycling to verify operations
- Cycle the system for final checks of proper operation
